Privacy policy

Start Sorted respects your privacy and aims to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

• No accounts or forms. This site has no sign-up or contact form, so we don't ask for your name or other details.
• Emails you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and message and use them only to reply.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider automatically records technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and time, for security and to keep the site running.
• Outbound link clicks. When you click a /go.php link, our server redirects you to the provider and the standard server log records the request.

Cookies and affiliate tracking

This site doesn't set its own advertising cookies. When you click an affiliate link and land on a provider's website, the provider or its affiliate network may set cookies to record that you came from us. Their privacy policies apply on their sites.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages are popular. It uses cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location and device type. You can opt out with Google's opt-out browser add-on (opens in a new tab).

Email marketing

We don't send marketing emails. If we start a newsletter, we'll only email people who opt in, identify ourselves and include an unsubscribe link, in line with the Spam Act 2003.

Disclosure and overseas transfer

We don't sell personal information. Our hosting provider and the third-party sites you visit from our links may store data outside Australia.
